
To set up Touch ID for Microsoft Authenticator, you need to complete a normal verification challenge with a PIN. To set this up on your first verification in the app, you will see an option to use Touch ID (for iOS) or fingerprint identification instead. The Microsoft Authenticator app can use your device's fingerprint or facial recognition capabilities instead of a PIN. Your organization may require a PIN to complete the verification challenge. If you are using a mobile device and a computer that will allow you to scan the QR code, you will need to select enter code manually.Įnter the code and the URL in the appropriate boxes in the app, then select Finish.Īdd an account to the app using your device's fingerprint or facial recognition capabilities On the accounts screen, select +, and then specify that you want to add a work or school account. If your camera is not working properly, you can enter the QR code and URL manually. Use the camera to scan the QR code, and then select Done to close the QR code screen.
